Toyota Star Safety System

Toyota Motor Corporation is one of the world’s largest automotive manufacturers. The client requested an iPad application to demonstrate their Star Safety Systems for their upcoming products. 

DESIGN PROCESS

When I was assigned to this project, the client had already provided the requirements, the target audience, and concept goals. However, due to the short timeline, we did not have enough leeway to go through the entire design process. In order to complete the task in an efficient manner, my team and I decided to introduce high fidelity designs early in the User Experience Process, which saved time in communication, showed the vision for the product more easily, and ultimately satisfied the client. I was wholly responsible for the design and presentation of the UX/UI design for this mobile application.

THE CHALLENGE

The biggest challenge for this project was the time restraints. My team and I had to plan and allot the appropriate resources for each step without much room for error.  We managed the tight schedule by establishing various checkpoints throughout the project to verify that we were on track for schedule and budget.
